Paritua Pivots to Domestic…

New strategic focus on the New Zealand market

Paritua Vineyard and Winery have appointed Vince Labat as Director of Sales & Marketing and followed that up with the signing of a national distribution agreement with Mineral Limited. A new visitor centre and tasting room is set to open this summer.

Jack Wu, Managing Director of Paritua commented, “Traditionally we have exported the majority of our wines to China and as a growing wine business the time is now right to develop further markets. A new focus on New Zealand is step one which will then be followed by the US, UK and other Asian markets.”

Established in 2003, the multi awarded Paritua is based in Hawke’s Bay. With a 56 hectare vineyard and a modern, state of the art winery Paritua specialises in premium wines of Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Winemaker Jason Stent commented “We are blessed with an exceptional vineyard and climate and working with the team at Mineral and opening our own Cellar Door we look forward to bringing a lot more of our wines to the restaurant and retail trade in New Zealand and having local and International tourists visit Paritua.”

Mineral Limited, is the national distributor for Felton Road, Mount Edward, Seresin, Black Estate, Burn Cottage, Gaja and Champagne Collet amongst other wine and spirits brands. James Barber and Stephanie Reade, joint Directors and owners of Mineral stated, “Paritua gives us another high quality Hawke’s Bay offering to add to our portfolio and we look forward to working closely with the team to develop the distribution and sales across New Zealand.”

Paritua will be opening a new Cellar Door this summer with a focus on enhancing the vineyard and winery experience with tastings and tours. Annie Dundass, General Manager of Hawke’s Bay Tourism says, “International and domestic tourism in New Zealand and Hawke’s Bay are important and growing contributors to the economy. We are delighted that Paritua will add to the wine tourism experience in our region which fits very well with what we are focussing to achieve.”
